Super late or not, I still welcome real comments on this blog instead of the tide of spam I usually moderate.

And - mind blown. I still use Windows 10 as a daily driver as my 2013-vintage desktop doesn't have a supported CPU for Windows 11. Can't believe I never noticed before, but yes, the resize cursors appear over the shadow. Checked Windows 11 and it is the same there.

I'm not entirely sure this is still classed as the border though - I imagine programs that do custom painting in the non-client area would get very confused by this, although I don't know how to tell one way or the other. For sure they aren't thick like they were back in Windows 3.1 :D
